Topographic context
In the Memories of the Royal Academy of History (Vol. VII, year 1832, 22) it is said: "También se descobrieron en la costa de Asturias, a vista del mar, en la parroquia de San Juan de Tremañes, cerca de Gijón, vestigios de unos baños, con trozos de argamasa romana y la inscripción siguiente". Near the area where the epigraph was located, the remains of some hot springs were documented together with other constructions from Roman times, in the Pedregal quarry (La Braña, Pumarín).

Nowadays at the house of Justo Castillo in Somió, Asturias.
