Topographic context
Hübner placed it in the town of Alange, in the hermitage of San Bartolomé (today “Cristo de los Baños”), next to the Roman baths, serving as the base for an altar. Some reports from the 19th century placed it in Botuna (site of Valle de Santa Ana) but it has been observed that there is evidence of the piece from the 16th century in Alange.

It is preserved in the courtyard of the spa.
